She became the first local broadcast anchor to specialize in AI. She delivers high-impact keynotes that humanize technology.
Lindsey has earned four EMMY awards and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. Her "Call for Action" and "Artificial Intelligence" series recently earned EMMY nominations.
Her ongoing “Artificial Intelligence” series explores AI's role in everything from healthcare, education, policy, ethics, and robots.
Previously, Lindsey launched the "Alert Desk,” using interactive technology for real-time news coverage at the ABC affiliate in Washington, DC. She furthered the "Call For Action" brand by exposing online scams and advocating for digital security.
During the pandemic, Lindsey created an unscripted, daily live-streaming program called “The Coronavirus Alert Desk,” to help answer viewer questions and connect with doctors and other wellness professionals. The program received more than 23 million views.
Her journalistic journey has placed her at the forefront of historic events. Lindsey reported from Capitol Hill during government shutdowns, social media hearings, the 2020 Presidential Impeachment Trial and vote, and significant Supreme Court confirmations.
Lindsey traveled nationally to cover the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Florida, the mass shooting near the University of California in Santa Barbara, the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bomber, and was front and center as authorities announced the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in Watertown. She also covered the deadly Texas fertilizer plant explosion and the mass shooting at a movie theater in Colorado.
Internationally, Lindsey traveled throughout India with the International Reporting Project to create a documentary on child mortality, reported on medical tourism in Mexico, and taught TV journalism and digital media to journalists in Iraq's Kurdish region.
Previously, she reported for the CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C., Feature Story News service from the Los Angeles bureau, was the breaking news anchor at the NBC affiliate in Tampa, Florida, and was a morning show anchor at the ABC affiliate in Southern Illinois.
Lindsey is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She celebrates her Greek heritage, loves reading, and is an Elton John superfan.
